The first concert at Fiserv Forum took place Tuesday with The Killers and Violent Femmes selling out the new arena.

Fans waited for hours in line to be among the first to enter, but no one waited as long as Stephanie Daigle, who got in line at 2 a.m. Tuesday with her daughter.

"For us, it’s all about we want to be at the barrier like right at the front of the stage," said Daigle.

They traveled from Anaheim, Cali., to see The Killers in Milwaukee, but in all, they've been to more than 35 of the band's shows.

"I'd like to think they know when we go to the shows, they’re there again," she said. "Might be all in my head but I'd like to think so."

A group of friends from Racine were also some of the first to enter the new arena. Mary Kate Bernier says the excitement of the new space was part of the draw.

"Living in the area, [we] plan on being back here a lot so it’s fun to be at the first concert here definitely," she said.

She and her friends became friends through their love of The Killers, but have never been to a concert together.

"All different people from different friend groups but we all have the same connection with The Killers," said Michael Guzman, also from Racine.

The first concert at Fiserv Forum sold 12,000 tickets. For information on upcoming events, click here.
