MILWAUKEE — In a meeting Thursday evening, the Fire and Police Commission voted to adopt a new use-of-force policy banning chokeholds.
That is unless police officers find themselves in a life-or-death situation.
It is the first police reform passed in Milwaukee since last summer's protests and unrest over police brutality.
