JANESVILLE -- The 'Felony Lane Gang' was in Janesville, Wis. on May 2 and broke into a woman's vehicle, according to police.

The woman's car window was smashed and her purse was stolen, officers say.

The suspects ended up in Delavan, where they attempted to cash a check. An alert teller delayed the transaction and the suspects drove off.

The Felony Lane Gang is a national crime ring that targets women. They sit and watch, staking out busy parking lots at gyms, grocery stores and big events.

The name "Felony Lane Gang" comes from the third, and furthest, drive-thru lane at the bank; the one these criminals use.

Janesville PD believe men were breaking into the Wisconsin cars and then recruiting women that match descriptions of the stolen ID's. Those women would then try to cash the forged checks.

If anyone can identify the suspects or their vehicle, please contact Janesville Police Department at 608-755-3147.
