A dog rescued by the Wisconsin Humane Society has been reunited with his family, which had been searching for the dog since this summer.
The WHS found Hercules living on the streets a few weeks ago and brought him in.
He became a social media sweetheart during the humane society’s fundraising campaign for Giving Tuesday this week.
On Wednesday, the WHS posted on Facebook that Hercules’ owners saw their “long-lost dog” on social media and contacted their office.
‘He had gone missing this summer, but they never gave up hope that they'd see him again. And today, that reunion happened as Hercules flooded them with kisses in our lobby. He was overjoyed to be back in their arms,” the post read.
