MILWAUKEE, WI -- If you want to eat for cheap, you're in for a treat as some of the city's hottest restaurants will be on display and dishing out deals during Milwaukee's 13th annual Downtown Dining Week.
“Really the purpose is to get people to enjoy downtown nightlife," Erica Chang said.
“This is an opportunity for the foodie or maybe the newcomer to the dining scene to enjoy some fresh flavors as well as old favorites.”
Erica Chang with Milwaukee Downtown BID #21 is a part of the team putting all this together.
Diners can sample the city tasting their way through 39 participating lunch and dinner spots —and although four of the restaurants are new this year —the folks at the Loaded Slate have been around for a while, but they’re stepping it up a notch for this week of feasts.
“We give our diners an experience that we normally wouldn't have here at the loaded slate," Owner, Joe Kuntz said.
The week of feasts is an experience that’s enough to make you salivate by just looking at the food —like the special menu spread at DOC's Commerce Steakhouse.
And it’s a pretty popular event too —since it’s inception, downtown dining week has attracted over 600,000 diners while raising thousands of dollars to end chronic homelessness in Milwaukee.
