Looking for a seasonal job? EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh is a good place to start.

They hire about 500 to 600 people every year for the big event. Jobs range from security to  concessions and retail sales.

Dick Knapinski says EAA AirVenture brings in at least 500,000 people from all over the world each year.

“It’s the Super Bowl, it’s the Olympics, its the Indy 500, it's all of those things,” Knapinski said.

During this week, it’s the world's busiest airport, and during AirVenture they need lots of temporary and part-time employees to help with the big crowds.

But with Wisconsin’s unemployment rate at a low 2.9 percent, hiring is tough.

Depending on the job, you can get paid anywhere from $8 to $10 per hour, but you have to be at least 14 years old.

They’re looking to fill the jobs as fast as they can. Kaylee Durant has been doing this for 7 years.

“This is my first real job,” she said. "I really really like it, it’s a good way to meet a lot of people, lots of interesting people from all over the world."

But she does add it comes with hard work.

“My first training day we had a few employees quit, this isn’t the job for everybody, you have to be on your feet 6 or 8 hours,” Durant said.

It does come with some benefits, and Knapinski promises it’ll be a great experience.

“When you get done with the week, yeah you’re tired but I can tell you for sure, you're very satisfied and very gratified on putting on the world’s largest aviation event,” he said.
