RACINE COUNTY — After a crash on the I-94 that killed two people, drivers are voicing their concerns about safety in that construction zone.
Some believe lowering the speed limit or widening the lanes would help improve safety on the highway.
Racine County's sheriff said they already have extra patrols, enforce safe driving, and issue tickets.
However, the department of transportation is not ready to start making changes yet.
"It's really too soon after the accident to make any changes because nobody knows exactly what it was that occurred," Michael Pyritz, the regional manager for Wisconsin DOT southeast region, said.
