WEST ALLIS — A 17-year-old James E. Dottke High School student has been charged as an adult in the Jan. 17 shooting of another Dottke student.
Killin Sanchez, of West Allis, was charged with endangering safety by dangerous use of a weapon, first-degree recklessly endangering safety, and possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18 years of age.
Sanchez is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing Feb. 1.
The call came in at about 10 a.m. Jan. 17. The suspect allegedly shot another 17-year-old male.
The victim was treated at the hospital and was released Jan. 17.
The school was put on lockdown Jan. 17 as a precaution. It was lifted a little more than an hour after it was issued.
The incident occurred about three blocks from the school in the 1600 block of South 76th Street.
