MILWAUKEE — The Democratic National Convention is "not in jeopardy" from the coronavirus, DNC chairman Tom Perez told NPR Tuesday.
As several events throughout the country are canceling due to COVID-19, Perez does not believe the July convention is at risk of cancellation.
"I met with some folks... and I'm confident that we can put that on," Perez told NPR.
Perez told NPR that he had been in touch with local, state and federal officials on a "regular basis to ensure" the DNC can be held.
The convention will take place in Milwaukee July 13 to 16.
