The Milwaukee Police Association Fallen Heroes Inc. and the Milwaukee Police Department are hosting an auction in honor of fallen MPD officers Charles Irvine, Jr. and Michael Michalski.

Officer Irvine and Michalski are being inducted into the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial during National Police Week 2019 in Washington D.C. Proceeds from the auction will cover travel costs for MPD officers and family members to attend the event.

The in-person silent auction begins Saturday at 11 a.m. at Doc's Commerce Smokehouse on Vel R. Phillips Ave. There will be food and drink specials as well as 50/50 raffles.

If you can't make the in-person event, you can also contribute to the auction online.

The online auction runs until 10:30 p.m. and the in-person event runs until 11 p.m.

Officer Irvine was killed during a high-speed chase in June. Officer Michalski was killed in a shooting the following month.
