A crash on Wednesday left one motorcyclist dead, according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office.
A 64-year-old man was riding his bike on the right most lane going southbound on I-41 near National Avenue just after 11 a.m.
According to a witness statement to the sheriff's office, a driver merged into the same lane as the motorcyclist forcing the rider to move into the emergency lane.
The motorcyclist hit a construction barrel and was ejected off his bike.
The West Allis Fire Department and county sheriff's office arrived to the scene, but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at 11.26 a.m.
All lane were closed until around 2:30 p.m.
