February was a tough month for Wisconsin drivers. The Department of Transportation released the number of assistance calls and crashes Friday.
The Wisconsin State Patrol reported 22,673 assistance calls in the month of February. Of those calls, 5,892 of them were motorist assists.
Of the motorist assist calls, 1,648 of them were slide-offs and 1,274 were crashes.
With that being said, the DOT has some advice for drivers operating the roads in winter conditions.
They say to monitor the forecast, keep your fuel tank and cell phone charge at 100 percent, buckle up, drive slowly and in emergency, call 911.
Here's to hoping the roads stay snow-free in April.
