Current President of the Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin Mahlon Mitchell is running for the Democratic nomination for governor.
Mitchell has served as a firefighter in Madison for 20 years. Aside from firefighter work, he has served the community as a street outreach coordinator with Briarpatch and Youth Services of Southern Wisconsin.

Political Background: Mahlon led marches and traveled the state in opposition of Scott Walker's Act 10 law in 2011. He also ran for Lieutenant Governor as the Democratic nominee in the 2012 recall election and has since passed two pieces of legislation that benefit firefighters across the state.
