MILWAUKEE — A deer has finally been set free after he got a jack-o-lantern stuck on his head.
Local citizens and a team with the Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS) set the deer free on Tuesday after he was seen near Delafield with the jack-o-lantern on his head.
HAWS teams had been working to track down the deer and tranquilize him so they could remove the lantern. On Tuesday, they finally had their chance.
After catching the deer and getting him onto the ground, a HAWS team and local citizens were able to remove the lantern and set the deer free.
HAWS then shared a video on Facebook of the moment he was set free.
