Chicago-style pizza may be headed to Fox Point, according to our business partners at the Milwaukee Business Journal.

Marnat Inc. LLC, doing business as Lou Malnati's Pizzeria, is proposing a carry-out pizza store at 8799 N. Port Washington Road, the Milwaukee Business Journal said.

Lou Malnati's reportedly would take over the space previously occupied by Pizzanetto in the Riverpoint Village Shopping Center.

The company’s first restaurant opened in the Chicago suburb of Lincolnwood in 1971. Its headquarters is in Northbrook, Illinois.

Lou Malnati’s, which is known for its deep dish pizza, wants to take occupancy of the Fox Point space in October, village records show.

The restaurant would be open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, according to the records. On Sundays, the restaurant would operate from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
