The Farmer's Almanac has predicted that this winter we will have a "Polar Coaster" which indicates means it will be a "frozen, snowy" winter.
However, as TODAY'S TMJ4 meteorologist Jesse Ritka points out, those words are just that, words. According to her, last year the Farmers Almanac used very similar verbiage as this year.
The Farmers' Almanac looks ahead 16 months to provide forecasts for the United States that has been divided into seven "zones." The 2019-2020 forecast is predicting "the worst of the bitterly cold winter conditions will affect areas east of the Rockies all the way to the Appalachians." That's also known as the Plains and the Midwest.
So will it be a particularly cold an snow filled winter? We will just have to wait and see.
