KENOSHA -- The cheapest gas you'll find across the Badger State is right here in southeastern Wisconsin. Lou Perrine's on Sheridan Rd. is offering gas at $1.99 a gallon for customers who pay in cash.
The owner of Lou Perrine's said it's been 18 months since the last time they were able to get below $2 a gallon.
"In the last two days, we've probably almost tripled the amount of fuel we normally sell," said owner Anthony Perrine. "We had people from Racine, Zion, Illinois, you name it…"
Perrine said his gas station isn't tied to big oil companies so he's able to find the best prices.
"The Illinois market was cheaper so we pulled out of Illinois the past couple of days and it was able to hit that $1.99 mark," he said.
It isn't just Perrine's customers saving on gas. According to AAA, Wisconsin gas prices have dropped 37 cents a gallon over the past month and they're 13 cents less than a year ago.
Shaun Nieves already knows where his savings are going.
"Christmas gifts for my kids, I've got a lot of them," he said.
Perrine said he won't find out until 6:00 p.m. Friday tonight whether they'll be able to keep this deal going through the weekend.
