MILWAUKEE -- Guests who visit the Mitchell Park Domes on Wednesday will be treated to a rare sight: A corpse flower in full bloom.
The corpse flower at the Domes has opened about four inches since noon Tuesday, Milwaukee County Parks said in a news release. By Wednesday, "it will be fully open and giving off the characteristic stink of a rotting corpse."

Don't count on another opportunity to see a corpse flower in bloom soon - the flowers usually bloom just once every seven to ten years. The "full scent" lasts 24-48 hours.
The Domes open to guests at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday. Get more information on their website.
