MILWAUKEE -- The old Sears at Brookfield Square will be transformed into WhirlyBall and BistroPlex, as part of a redevelopment project from CBL Properties.
Stephen Lebovitz, president and CEO of CBL Properties said, “We are thrilled to confirm the addition of these two world-class entertainment venues and commence construction.”
Guests can find unique dining experiences at both.
WhirlyBall combines dining with fun and will feature is described as a "combination of lacrosse and bumper cars." Two teams of five compete against each other.
The venue will be two stories with two WhirlyBall courts, eight bowling lanes with lane-side service, a four-lane VIP bowling suite, and a laser tag arena with multiple levels. Additionally, a full service restaurant and bar will offer craft beer on rotation and seasonal cocktails.
BistroPlex from Marcus Theatres combines moviegoing and dining. The company describes the venue as a "restaurant that serves movies." The DreamLounger recliners are a signature that will be in every auditorium, providing comfort to guests. There will also be a full-service bar, lounge area, and an outdoor dining option.
“The addition of WhirlyBall and BistroPlex will further enhance Brookfield Square’s position as the premier dining and entertainment destination in the greater Milwaukee market. Since acquiring the Sears building last year and announcing our plans for future redevelopment, we have received significant demand from a variety of users interested in being a part of this transformative project,” Lebovitz said.
Construction will begin in early April.
