MILWAUKEE -- Friday, May 8 marks 75 years since the allies celebrated Victory in Europe during World War II.
To celebrate the anniversary and to salute veterans, the Commemorative Air Force Wisconsin Wing will conduct a historic flyover Friday afternoon.
Five aircraft will take off from the Waukesha County Airport at about 12:45 p.m. and form up. From there, they will head east over the Milwaukee VA Hospital, then to Veterans Park, to circle around the lakefront. Finally, they will return west to Waukesha.
"You're invited to view the flyover from the ground while observing current safety precautions," a Facebook post from the group says.
