Children's Wisconsin is not allowing children under 12-years-old to visit patients in their Milwaukee and Fox Valley hospitals for a temporary amount of time.
Beginning Wednesday, no one under the age of 12 will be allowed in any inpatient care areas. This does not include clinic appointments or Emergency Department visits.
The temporary restriction is intended to prevent the spread of the influenza virus, as well as other viral illnesses.
The restriction will be assessed regularly to determine how long it will be in place, according to Children's Wisconsin.
Children's would also like to remind citizens that it is not too late to get vaccinated.
