Doctors at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin were able to help save another life, but this time it was on an unusual patient - a bonobo from the Milwaukee County Zoo.
Last November, the zoo made an urgent call to Children's Hospital after Noelle the Bonobo suffered from pneumonia and had trouble breathing. Doctors stepped in and put Noelle on a ventilator and she was slowly weaned off of it.
Noelle is now fully recovered and back home at the Milwaukee County Zoo.
Carole Meekins has more on the teamwork that helped save this primate’s life.
