A cat lost during a 131-vehicle pileup in Winnebago County in late February has been found dead, police say.
One man was killed, and 71 others were injured in the chain-reaction crash that happened in the Neenah area amid whiteout conditions.
Kevin Graves was on a road trip to visit friends in Wisconsin, bringing his cat Bastet along for the ride. His mother told NBC26that his vehicle was in the middle of the massive pileup and he walked away with some bruises.
Graves said Bastet ran out the shattered back window upon the car being hit. A reward was offered to anyone that may have located the missing cat.
The Great Lakes Veterinary Clinic is helping the family during their time of need as they mourn the loss of Bastet.
