WAUKESHA -- A 2017 Buick Verano was discovered last Wednesday at the bottom of a swimming pool in Waukesha.
According to the Waukesha Police Department, officers were sent to 2320 Parklawn Dr. around 7:30 p.m. to investigate the report of a vehicle in a swimming pool.
Police say the driver and his fiancé pulled into their parking stall near the pool. The driver decided to pull further forward toward the concrete curb, and accidentally hit the accelerator, driving down an embankment, through a chain link fence, and into the pool.
Both people were able to get out of the pool and were unharmed.
As of Tuesday, the pool still needed to be drained. A crane will need to be used to remove the vehicle, police say.
