The harsh winter temperatures have nothing on Café Benelux's rooftop dining--anymore.
The Third Ward restaurant is teaming up with Lowlands Group to bring heated 'Lux Domes' to the rooftop in late November.
Six private, heated domes will be installed to seat up to eight guests at a time. Guests will be able to book the domes for an hour and a half time slot Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings.
Dome reservations include a complimentary drink package, special keepsake mugs for guests and the ability to add a variety of festive food and beverage packages to get in the holiday spirit.
"We wanted to create a way for Milwaukeeans to enjoy the city during our cold and dark winter evenings that was an experience unlike any other in the city," said Dan Herwing, director of brand and marketing for Lowlands Group. "We've seen similar rooftops experiences in London and Boston add life to those cities in their harsh winters, so we figured Milwaukee would be a great fit for something similar."
Food and beverage packages will be available as add-ons to the Lux Dome reservation. They will also be served Stammtisch-style, meaning food and beverages will be ordered ahead of time and dropped off at the table at the start of the reservation.
