A Milwaukee County Transit System bus driver spotted a small boy in the cold, and stopped to carry him to the bus to get warm.
According to a Facebook video from the MCTS, driver Denise Wilson stopped near 60th and Center Streets to take a break around Midnight when she saw the 5-year-old wearing only socks, a t-shirt and shorts.
The boy was crying that he was lost. Authorities later found out he had wandered away from home.
Wilson comforted the boy until police arrived, giving him a snack and her coat to warm up.
Investigators said the boy had wandered away from his home, and said it was an “innocent episode.”
