MILWAUKEE — On Sept. 16, you can start buying tickets for Boo at the Zoo, a drive-thru Halloween experience at the Milwaukee County Zoo.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the zoo had to find a new way to celebrate Halloween, so they created Boo at the Zoo.
This "merry not scary" adventure features Halloween-themed areas, carved pumpkins and illuminated light shows. The show lasts 30 minutes and covers a 1.5-mile route.
While the animals will not be view-able during the route, the zoo will have concession stops along the path. Tickets go on sale Sept. 16, but the experience does not open until Oct. 22.
Boo at the zoo will be open Oct. 22 through Oct. 25 from 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m.
Tickets are $55 per carload. However, if you are a zoo pass holder, you can get in for $50 per carload. There are some vehicle size limitations, and you can only fit as many people in the vehicle as there are seatbelts.
