WAUKESHA — Investigators with the Waukesha Police Department have officially ruled a Thursday house fire as suspicious, authorities said.
Firefighters arrived to the scene about 5:00 a.m. Thursday to find flames and heavy smoke coming from a home on S. University Drive. After conducting a search of the structure, one person was found dead.
Police are still working to identify the body, authorities said. In a new release, police labeled the investigation as suspicious on Friday night.
Investigators are looking for help finding an orange 1969 Pontiac Firebird involved in the case.

Local authorities said they requested assistance from the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms along with the Wisconsin Department of Justice Department of Criminal Investigations, saying that it was standard protocol.
