Appleton Police are warning the public to watch out for bears after a sighting in the Fox Valley.
Police posted on twitter that a black bear and cubs were spotted yesterday near the intersection of Providence and Windingbrook on Appleton's north side.
Around 9:00 PM this evening (05/07/19) a black bear and cubs were seen on the north side of Appleton near the intersection of Providence and Windingbrook. Officers are monitoring the area and the DNR has been contacted. Do not approach the bears if you see them. Please call APD. pic.twitter.com/DjhkFHwaPj

They say the DNR has been contacted and police are monitoring the area. Authorities also ask anyone who sees them to stay away from them and call Police.
