MILWAUKEE — The 39-year-old man who died in a hit and run in the 2400 block of N. 35th St. has been identified.
According to Milwaukee police, Anthony Barnes, 39, was biking in the 2400 block of N. 35th St. on Sunday when he was struck by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene right after the accident.
Emergency responders performed life saving efforts on scene but were unable to revive the man.
The suspect was arrested late Sunday night after investigators located the striking vehicle. Authorities are expected to release further details on Monday.
