Milwaukee police said 50 individuals were arrested and one police officer was shot after protests on Friday evening turned violent.

"There were 16 businesses that were looted," said MPD Police Chief Alfonso Morales in a press conference Saturday. "At the end of the day, who won last night?"

A Walgreens, located at Martin Luther King Drive and Hadley was one of the businesses looted overnight. TMJ4 News crews witnessed smoke from the building.

Crowds also broke the store glass at Playmakers on Fond du Lac Avenue and rushed inside. Shoe boxes and other items from inside of the store were strewn across the parking lot.
