Baraboo School District officials are launching an investigation after a photo of a large male group of students holding up what appears to be a Nazi salute went viral.
The post went out around 9 p.m. and has since has been deleted reported Channel 3000.
The photo includes a large group of white male students posing on the front steps of a building, seemingly before a school dance. The caption reads "#barabooproud."
If anybody from Baraboo High School in Wisconsin can clue me in on why it appears the entire male class of 2018 is throwing up a Sig Heil during their prom photos - that would be great.

The school district sent out a letter to parents Monday morning stating that an investigation has began to address the gesture made in the photo.
The Baraboo Superintendent Lori Mueller also clarified that the photo was not taken on school property or at a school-sponsored event and was originally taken last spring.

Mueller said that if the gesture is in fact what it appears to be, the district will pursue any and all available and appropriate actions, including legal.
