SHOREWOOD — The attorney for Joe Friedman, a 21-year-old who was assaulted by Stephanie Rapkin, is demanding that Rapkin get tested for COVID-19 after she spat on Eric Lucas and assaulted his client.

Rapkin is facing charges after she assaulted a police officer and spat on a protester on June 6.

Following her arrest and release for the spitting incident, Rapkin was arrested again for shoving Friedman while he drew with chalk on the sidewalk.

Now, Friedman's attorney is demanding she be tested for COVID-19 and that the results be shared publicly.

In a press release, Friedman's attorney wrote, "Given the horrific actions of Stephanie Rapkin at a time when COVID-19 is ravaging our country, we demand her immediate testing for both current and past infection and to publicly release the results."

According to a criminal complaint, Rapkin's spit landed on Lucas' face and mouth area as well as on the top of his shirt.
