Three students injured after being hit by car at Barack Obama School

MILWAUKEE — Three students have been injured after being hit by a car at Barack Obama School, 5075 N. Sherman Blvd., Milwaukee Police said Thursday.

Police responded at 8:19 a.m. after a vehicle reportedly spun out, causing the vehicle to go over the curb and striking the students.

The Milwaukee Fire Department responded to the scene for non-life-threatening injuries to the students. The students reportedly were taken to Children's Hospital.

The students were alert and talking but were taken to be checked at the hospital, according to Andy Nelson of Milwaukee Public Schools. The driver stayed on scene.

This is an ongoing investigation.
