Four suspects arrested after crash in Marquette Interchange closes major system ramp

MILWAUKEE -- Four suspects were arrested after a crash in the Marquette Interchange Friday morning that shut down a major system ramp.

It happened around 9:00 a.m. Friday on the ramp from I-94 EB to I-43 NB.

A traffic stop was attempted near 35th and Forest Home under the suspicion of drug activity, but the driver wouldn't stop, and police gave chase. The driver eventually crashed in the Marquette Interchange.

The driver was arrested for felony fleeing and the passengers were arrested for outstanding warrants.

The ramp was shut down for more than an hour as police worked to investigate what happened.

The ramp was re-opened just before 10:30 a.m. Friday.
