A woman authorities believe to be in her late 20s is dead after a car crashed into the Kinnickinnic River late Monday night.
The Milwaukee Fire Department was continuing to search the water for the car and two others that remain missing late Monday night.
The car crashed into the river near Greenfield Avenue and Barclay Street in Walker’s Point Monday night.
Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales said the car was used in two armed robberies and another two robbery attempts within 24 hours.
Officers chased the car, but lost it. Morales says it appears the driver of the car lost sight of the road and drove into the river.
The MFD is still diving to try and find the two others. The investigation will continue into Tuesday.
