WHITEFISH BAY, WI — After 65 years in business, the iconic Dan Fitzgerald Pharmacy in Whitefish Bay is closing.
Given the changes in the healthcare and the pharmacy industry, the owners said that the store can't stay open.
For some, they will miss the local hometown feeling they got when shopping there.
"We are losing all the personal touch that Fitzgerald's gives you," longtime customer Nancy Burke said.
The store will be open until Monday, Aug. 26. All the prescriptions will be moved over to the CVS in Whitefish Bay.
