BURLINGTON — An 80-year-old man has been taken to Froedtert Hospital after a plane crash in Burlington on Friday.
Police responded to reports of a downed aircraft near the Burlington Municipal Airport around 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
Upon arrival, Burlington Police and fire performed life saving measures on the 80-year-old pilot trapped inside.
The pilot was eventually extracted from the aircraft and taken to Aurora Medical Center in Burlington. From there, he was transferred to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.
Police are still investigating the crash in collaboration with the Federal Aviation Administration. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
