MILWAUKEE — An 8-year-old was hit by gunfire near 58th and Helena Wednesday night.
The child was taken to Children's Wisconsin for non-life threatening injuries, according to police.
A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was taken into custody for recklessly endangering safety. The gun used in the incident was recovered, according to police.
The case will be presented to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
