The seven-year-old boy who was shot near his grandmother's house on Friday is out of the hospital.
His aunt spoke to TODAY'S TMJ4 and said three kids were inside the maroon SUV near 39th and Custer when a woman fired a shot inside the car.
The seven-year-old was hit in the foot.
It happened so quick. People just don't think, to come out of a house and open fire on a car when kids are in there," she said. "They saw everything. It traumatized him. They're going to remember this for the rest of their lives."
The woman didn't want to give her name, but said her sister was leaving the grandparents' house and was trying to get around a car that was blocking the road, and that's when a woman ran out of the house and fired a shot into the maroon SUV.
"Just praise the Lord that it wasn't as bad as it could have been with the other kids that were in the car," she said.
The two other kids in the car are four years old and eight years old. Neither one was hurt.
Police are still looking for the shooter.
