MILWAUKEE — Investigators with the Milwaukee Police Department are working to determine the circumstances behind the accidental discharge of a firearm leaving a child grazed by a bullet overnight.
Officers responded to the 400 block of N. 31st Street about 9:30 p.m. Friday for reports of shots being fired. Detectives determined that a 6-year-old girl suffered a graze wound after a gun was accidentally fired inside of her home.
The Milwaukee Police Department arrested a 19-year-old subject during the investigation. Charges are expected to be filed in the coming days.
