WEST ALLIS — Over the weekend, 53 reptiles were removed from a home in West Allis.
On Sunday, the Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission (MADACC) removed the reptiles from a home on South 77th Street in West Allis.
Police had initially reported to the home to check on the welfare of the resident. However, upon arrival they saw all the animals and contacted MADACC.
Various snakes were found in addition to a few turtles and other reptiles.
The animals are now in secure containers and will eventually be released to a local rescue.
