GERMANTOWN, Wis. — Five Kewaskum brothers are at Children’s Hospital after a serious crash on I-41 just south of Holy Hill Road. According to Germantown Police, inside the car was a 16-year-old driver and his brothers ages 15, 13, 9 and 8.
Neighbors said they heard ambulance after ambulance respond to the scene.
“We heard about 5 to 10 ambulances and immediately came up to the bridge over here,” said Cherrina Snyder who lives nearby.
Three of the children were thrown from the 2003 Buick as it rolled multiple times.
“You can see a car in the ditch. And the professionals are working on the children now,” said Snyder.
The teen was just past Holy Hill Road going south on I-41 just before 5 P.M. on Wednesday afternoon. Police said the 16-year-old was going at a very high rate of speed before he lost control. It’s an area known for accidents. There have been at least four serious crashes in the last two years.
“The two highways actually merge, 41 and 45 right where the accident happened. So its real easy to have an accident coming up and over the hill,” said Snyder.
Other neighbors said it’s hard to hear children were in the wreck.
“It’s really scary right now. And the situation which I am seeing right now, which they aren’t done yet. It’s not good, it’s not good at all,” said Clarence Wilson who lives nearby.
