A 3-year-old boy is suffering serious injuries after a shooting Wednesday evening.
The shooting took place around 8:50 p.m. in the 3300 block of N. 17th St.
The child was conveyed to a local hospital where he was taken into surgery, according to police.
A 26-year-old female was taken into custody regarding this offense.
This is the 15th child to be the victim of gun violence this year in Milwaukee.
Police are still investigating the circumstances of the shooting.
