Wisconsin has experienced 21 tornadoes in 2019.
All those tornadoes have come within a three months span. May had one, June had one, and July has had 19. According to statistics from the National Weather Service, those numbers are relatively atypical. Historically, more tornadoes have happened in June than any other month.
Of the 21 confirmed tornadoes, seven were magnitude EF1 and 14 were EF0. That is based on a scaled of EF0 to EF5 with the higher number indicating a more severe tornado.
The county with the most tornadoes so far is Outagamie with four. Waupaca is second with three.
