On Sunday we celebrate the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Here's a list of places thanking military members in the form of free things.
1. Milwaukee Art Museum
Veterans, active military personnel and their families can enjoy free admission to the Milwaukee Art Museum on Sunday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Admission is free for military veterans and one guest, as well as anyone who is currently serving in the United States Military and up to five family members. Visitors can explore all four temporary exhibitions including Serious Play: Design in Midcentury America, The San Quentin Project, Family Pictures and Constable? A Landscape Rediscovered. Guests will also have access to the Kohl's Art Generation Art Studio to create their own art to take home.
2. Red Robin
Red Robin is thanking veterans and active duty military members the best way they know how, with a free Red's Tavern Double burger and Bottomless Steak Fries. The deal takes place on Sunday at participating locations.
3. Texas Roadhouse
Active and veteran military members are invited to a free lunch at Texas Roadhouse on Sunday. Meal options include a 6-ounce sirloin steak, country fried chicken, pulled pork dinner, all American cheeseburger and more.
4. Applebee's
Applebee's is making it a goal to serve 1 million meals to military heroes. On Sunday, U.S. veterans and active duty military members can choose from a selection of eight full-size entrées to enjoy for free.
5. Bar Louie
Veterans and active military personnel can stop into Bar Louie on Veterans Day for a free burger or flatbread up to a $15 value when they show a valid military ID. The restaurant is also participating in a "Mission for Vets" campaign to raise a minimum of $25,000 for Operation Homefront. Guests will have the option to donate money toward the mission via an add-on to their checks.
6. Buffalo Wild Wings
There's free small wings and fries waiting for all active and retired armed service members at Buffalo Wild Wings on Sunday.
7. Chipotle
It's BOGO at participating Chipotle locations on Sunday. Veterans, active military and military families can get one free burrito, bowl, salad or order of tacos with the purchase of one upon showing a military ID.
8. Dunkin' Donuts
"Freedom is sweet thanks to you." Dunkin' Donuts is offering free donuts to all veterans and active duty military on Sunday.
9. Little Caesars
Little Caesars is offering veterans and active members of the U.S. military a free $5 HOT-N-READY Lunch Combo from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. in participating locations on Sunday. The lunch combo includes four slices of DEEP! DEEP! Dish pepperoni pizza and a 20 ounce Pepsi product.
10. Starbucks
Veterans, active duty service members and military spouses can enjoy a free tall hot brewed coffee on Sunday at any participating Starbucks store. Further, for every hot brewed coffee purchased on Veterans Day, Starbucks will donate 15 cents to Blue Star Families.
11. Cracker Barrel
Veterans will receive a free complimentary crafted coffee or a slice of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake at all Cracker Barrel locations on Sunday.
12. Lambeau Field
The Packers are offering discounts for active military members and veterans on Friday since Veterans Day falls on a gameday. Military members will receive free admission to the Packers Hall of Fame, a 25 percent discount on food and alcoholic beverages at 1919 Kitchen & Tap and a 10 percent discount off all in-store items at the Packers Pro Shop.
13. Milwaukee Admirals
Veterans, active military and immediate family members are offered up to six free tickets to Friday night's game against the Rockford IceHogs online. They will also receive a 15 percent discount in the Arena Team Shop.
14. SafeHouse
Milwaukee's SafeHouse is hosting a free lunch buffet for families of fallen soldiers whose photos are displayed on the restaurant's Wall of Fallen Heroes. The event takes place on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. The SafeHouse always offers a 25 percent discount to anyone who shows military identification.
15. Harley-Davidson
The Harley-Davidson Museum is offering free admission to veterans and active military personnel all weekend long.
16. RARE Steakhouse
Any military member who shows identification or wears their uniform to RARE Steakhouse on Sunday will receive a 15 percent discount off the full check.
