A Racine 15-year-old has been arrested by Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies after stealing a car and leading authorities on a 10-mile high-speed chase Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Dodge County Sheriff, the stolen Toyota was driving recklessly going southbound on Interstate 41. The provided license plate came back as stolen from the City of Racine.
The driver fled from police, reaching speeds up to 100 miles per hour before hitting a semi truck and crashing near Lannon Road in Germantown.
The 15-year-old was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without owner's consent, felony eluding and operation without a license.
He was turned over to the Racine's Sheriff's Office after it was found that he was a runaway from a facility in Racine County.
