15 things to do around Milwaukee this Easter weekend

Easter is Sunday, April 1, and there is plenty to do in the Brew City! Events range from pictures with the Easter Bunny to adult-beverage fun.

This list will help you find places to go for a fun-filled Easter weekend.

1. Go to the Hilton Milwaukee City Center for petting zoo, egg hunt, and brunch

The Hilton Milwaukee City Center is hosting a petting zoo on Sunday, April 1 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Families can meet animals like llamas, goats, bunnies, and more from Patrick's Funny Farm. There are other activities as well. Families can also participate in an Easter egg hunt, enjoy an Easter brunch buffet and have a special visit from the Easter bunny.

Children under the age of 5 are free. Children between 6 and 12-years-old are $17. Adults are $38. Click HEREfor more information. 

2. Attend a pancake breakfast and Easter egg hunt at Friends of LaFollette Park

The 9th annual pancake breakfast and Easter egg hunt takes place on Saturday, March 31 at 8:30 a.m. Breakfast costs $5 for adults and $3 for children. Kids under 2-years-old are free. The Easter egg hunt begins right at 11:00 a.m. and is open to kids under 11-years-old. Don't forget your Easter basket!

3. Enjoy an egg hunt, brunch, and other games, hosted by City of Light Church

On Saturday, March 31 at 9:00 a.m., the City of Light will host a brunch, crafts, face painting, and other activities. The egg hunt is only for kids 2 to 9-years-old but there are other activities for the whole family. Kids from 2 to 9 cost $3.Click HEREfor tickets, to fill out a waiver, or to volunteer.

4. BistroPlex Presents: Hop to the Movies

"Hop" to the Marcus BistroPlex at Southridge in Greendale for some family fun on Saturday, March 31 at 9:00 a.m. There will be pictures with the Easter Bunny, crafts, a hunt that begins at 9:30 a.m., and a showing of the movie "Hop" at 10:00 a.m. Ticketsare $8.

5. Visit the Easter Bunny at Gift of Wings

On Saturday, March 31 from noon until 4:00 p.m., you can visit with the Easter Bunny at Gift of Wings in Franklin. The pictures will be emailed right to you and you can also bring your own camera if preferred. From 1-3:00 p.m. Mother Goose will be telling stories and leading crafts with the kids. There will also be merchandise for sale and ice cream.

6. Participate in an adult Easter egg hunt at The Backyard

Adults want in on the action too. On Easter Day, Sunday, April 1 at 4:00 p.m., head to The Backyard to have some adult fun. There will be an adult egg hunt and some of the prizes include free drinks and a $100 grand prize. 

7. Go to an Easter egg hunt and open skate at the Mullett Ice Center

Head to the Mullett Ice Center in Hartland for an Easter egg hunt and a family open skate on Saturday, March 31, at 10:00 a.m. Kids cost $5, adults cost $6, and skates can be rented for $2.50.

8. Attend a Community Easter egg hunt in Roosevelt Park

Family Tae Kwon Do Champions is putting on their Inaugural Community Easter Egg Hunt. On Saturday, March 31, at 10:00 a.m. you can participate in an egg hunt, jump in a bounce house, take pictures with the bunny, and more. Your Tae Kwon Do skills will be put to the test with board breaking. Additionally, coffee will be available for donations. The Easter egg hunt begins at 10:15 a.m., starting with 3 and 4-year-olds and then 5 to 8-year-olds.

9. Enjoy Easter Brunch at Stella Van Buren

From 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Easter Day, head to Stella Van Buren in Milwaukee for a holiday brunch.

10. Celebrate Easter with brunch at Saz's

Saz's Hospitality Group is hosting an Easter Brunch with a special menu on Easter Day.

11. Hop Along Can Hunt & Brunch at MobCraft Beer

On Sunday, April 1 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., head to MobCraft Beer to spend your Easter drinking, eating a yummy brunch, and hunting for cans throughout the brewery. Ticketsare $50 and include Bottomless Beermosas, brunch, the can hunt, and a take home 4-pack of beer.

12. Hang with the Easter Bunny at Boerner Botanical Gardens

On Sunday, April 1, from 10:00 a.m. until noon, head to Boerner Botanical Gardens to enjoy brunch, make crafts, hunt for eggs, and take pictures with the Easter bunny.

13. Celebrate a Pfister Easter

14. Brunch with the Easter Bunny at Old Town Beer Hall

Enjoy an all you can eat buffet with the Easter Bunny at Old Town Beer Hall on Easter Day from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00p.m. This will be fun for kids and adults. Adults cost $18.95 and kids cost $12.95.

15. Have Easter Brunch at InterContinental Milwaukee

On Sunday, April 1, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., enjoy an Easter Brunch at the InterContinental Milwaukee. The brunch includes a farmers market station, a salad bar, an omelet station, and more. Adult tickets are $42 and kids tickets are $17.
