MERRILLAN, Wis. -- A man in Jackson County is Wisconsin's newest millionaire.

A $10.7 million winning Megabucks ticket was sold on Saturday night at the Double T Quik Stop at 302 N. Washington St. in Merrillan, the Wisconsin Lottery says.

The winning ticket was claimed by Richard Kondell II. He told the Wisconsin Lottery he doesn't have plans for his winnings yet, but says he's "going to call in rich to work" instead of calling in sick.

"Congratulations to Richard and to the retailer Double T!" said Wisconsin Lottery Director Cindy Polzin. "This is a huge Megabucks win that has put Merrillan on the WINsconsin map."

The odds of winning the Megaball jackpot are 1 in 6,991,908, according to the Wisconsin Lottery.
