1-year-old taken to hospital after hit and run in Beaver Dam

BEAVER DAM, WI — A 1-year-old has been sent to the hopsital after a hit and run in Beaver Dam, police said.

At 6:22 p.m. Thursday night, a 1-year-old child was struck by a car at the intersection of South Spring Street and East Davis Street, according to officials. The child was taken to the Beaver Dam Community Hospital by his mother.

Beaver Damn police said that the driver who hit the child was a male in an older model silver sedan, possibly a Buick. Police also said that the subject briefly stopped after hitting the child but then fled south on South Spring Street.
